Everyone acts kindly and fearlessly towards one another. Each one of us takes more chances to be their authentic self.

A garden of visions
Overton's Garden is an invitation to imagine a better world — so this community page is a place to share the ideas that are alive in you. Post a thought or a picture sharing something about the world you'd like to help grow, and browse the visions others have planted here.
Will we as human beings still want something in a world where you have everything? What would you do with your life in this world? If you had everything, if you felt safe, if you loved yourself, if you loved, if you just felt a lot of love, what would you do with your life?
I think discussions about sustainability are stifled by the fact that things will have to change in order to achieve a better world. There is a narrative around abundance at present from both AI founders and liberal commentators. I think abundance is the wrong framing for a better world. Seeking unlimited abundance got us to where we are. Seeking what is sufficient for a safe, fair and dignified life is what we should strive for, both for humans and the natural world.
A feeling of Peace, calm and quiet. An enormous feeling, being enveloped in a golden warmth, blends of every possible green, rich blues of water in motion, bold colours of flora, heights of mountainous air, cool and heady, a distinct presence of seasons. My experience ended with a surprising visual behind the eyes: Grains of sand in a steady stream, moving gently but purposefully forward.
A place where people have garden parties with the people that they love, which is everyone!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if people smiled to each other in the street and genuinely cared that each and every person they pass has a good day?
In my vision, there were small communities, like chosen families. They lived simply, modestly, but they were so rich in love, always in communion with nature. Every action was done with intention, respect and gratitude. No task was carried out without consideration. If an animal was needed for food, they chose carefully and each person thanked the animal. They helped one another build their huts with materials from the earth and set up house. They took turns cooking and caring for the sick. The dying felt the love from the entire community, and they held onto joy as they passed from this world to whatever’s next. They had no thoughts of worry, envy, race, or personal gain. Resources were shared. Every person, animal, flower, insect and tree was valued and respected for what it was. It was beautiful. Abundant love was their religion, and they wore their hearts on their sleeves. The past didn’t matter here, because no one clung to it. Each day was new, full of possibilities and opportunities for joy. They loved the earth, the stars and each other.
